Welcome to the listings page. Here you can find the things the tourism board probably can’t list (though they’d probably love to – they’re being hit by the same cuts as everybody else).

Community Meeting Upperthorpe – Safe and Secure Housing

September 7, 2017 @ 6:15 pm - 8:00 pm
Zest Centre,
18 Upperthorpe, Sheffield, S6 3NA United Kingdom
+ Google Map

The terrible Grenfell fire and the failed response of local and national Government has exposed the lethal mix of cuts, neglect and refusal to listen to residents in the UK.
In hundreds of meetings across the country, people are attempting to hold landlords to account and force them to act.
Sheffield City Council has moved on safety issues in its tower blocks but there are still unanswered questions.
This meeting is jointly organised by Sheffield People’s Assembly, Axe the Housing Act, Defend Council Housing and supported by Sheffield Trades Council. It is the second community meeting of this type held, following the meeting in Gleadless last month.
It is a chance for residents in Upperthorpe and beyond to have their say and agree on next steps to hold the council and other landlords to account.
Please invite your friends, neighbours and relatives who live in the local area and others concerned to secure justice for Grenfell and safety in our homes, schools and hospitals.
Our safety is paramount above austerity and profits.
